Our FWC-5015 and FW-5015 doors are not only fire-resistant, but they are recessed for drywall, which is a unique feature compared to what our competitors offer. Both are made of steel (22 gauge) and feature galvanized steel drywall bead frames. Both also feature concealed hinges and a self-closing latch, which is operated with a recessed key. They are also equipped with 5/8″ fire-resistant drywall. Let us break them down in more detail.
The FWC is specifically designed for ceilings and has brackets, while the FW is designed for walls only. Our FWC meets the 90-minute fire resistance rating according to CAN ULC S101-14, ASTM E119-16, and NFPA 251. Meanwhile, our FW meets UL 10(b) and ULC S104 test standards.
