Ladder access with electric actuator (AL)
Acudor access hatches with electric actuator aluminum are designed to provide convenient and economical access to a building’s rooftop with the ease of automation. By adding an electric actuator, our hatch can be opened and closed remotely. This feature is available in access hatches for small ladders and, more importantly, in larger equipment hatches, which are often heavy and difficult to operate.
- Cover:
Dual-shell construction (“boxed type design”) with 1″ cellulose insulation and continuous EPDM foam reinforcement/weather seal packaging that bonds to the inside of the cover to provide a flush, tight fit. Designed to support a live load of 40lb/ft2.
- Curb:
1″ thick chipboard with insulation on the outside of the curb. The curb is 12″ tall, with a 3.375″ wide bottom flange and pre-drilled mounting holes.
- Door Bolt:
The Auto-Lock feature of the Electric Actuator replaces the need for conventional locks in standard designs. Additional locking devices available upon request.
- Aperture:
Convenient electric operation with Push Button Switch, Key Switch and/or Remote Control options. It can be kept open at any angle for ventilation. Individual covers with more than one actuator operate in synchronous mode. Hatches with more than one deck have at least two actuators that need to be operated in sequence. Battery backup is provided for emergency exits to secure the power supply in the event of a power outage. The Control Box keeps the batteries charged.
